History Teaching: Serious Games being part of History Teaching; Siege 1565 Project.

Updated: Jun 8, 2023

About:

Siege 1565 is a Historical Education Board game as a result of the dissertation project. The dissertation dives into how Serious Games can be implemented into the Maltese History Education System. Throughout the dissertation, a game was created to teach students about the Great Siege of Malta that took place in 1565.

In Siege 1565, the players will be put into teams and must choose one of the factions; Knights or Ottomans. The player's objective is to capture the control point, and the first team that has all their player on the point wins the game. Throughout the game, players will encounter cards that they can use to their advantage and to stop their opponents from advancing.
